In Memory of Joel Weiss
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our former long-time president, Joel Weiss, on July 11, 2026.
Joel purchased Equiparts in 1992 with a vision for what the company could become. Over the decades that followed, he helped transform Equiparts into the company it is today. Under his leadership, the company expanded its facilities, developed its first catalogs, broadened its product offerings, and built a strong reputation for serving customers throughout the plumbing and maintenance industries.
While Joel was proud of the company’s growth, he was even more proud of the people behind it. He believed Equiparts was more than a business—it was a family. His leadership was defined by integrity, humility, and a genuine investment in the success of those around him. That commitment ultimately led him to transition Equiparts to employee ownership, ensuring the company’s future would remain in the hands of the people who helped build it.

Joel’s vision and leadership left a lasting mark on Equiparts, but his greatest legacy is the culture he helped create. His dedication to customers, employees, and partners shaped the values that continue to guide our company today.
To honor Joel’s life and legacy, Equiparts will be closed on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, as our employees attend his funeral services.
